Mrs. De Leon has been teaching since 2001 in Howard County. She is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University with three individual degrees in Music Education, Music Composition, and Bassoon Performance. Currently she is working on her Masters of Music Education ('09) and Composition ('10) at Peabody. As a bassoonist she performs regularly with the Columbia Orchestra and the Columbia Chamber Winds. She also maintains a private bassoon studio and is available for lessons to non-MWES students.

She lives in Ellicott City with her husband and two pugs Dizzy and Miles.
