Previous Announcements

We will have full band for 4th grade every Tuesday with instruments.

Check up:
-Make sure all students have "Mini-Schedules*" taped to their school folder, band folder, somewhere to check at home, and school desk. These work!
-Be sure to help your child remember to fill out their practice record and remind them that it needs to be in their band folder.
-If for any reason the practice record was not handed in, it must be turned in on Monday. In the future, late practice records may not be accepted. Since they are supposed to remain in the band folder at all times, even an unsigned record is better than no record.

Stuffed Animals
We need donations of new or almost new stuffed animals! This year's prize for attending 15 lessons on-time and with all materials is some adorable stuffed animals. We have a good number donated already from the Di'Amato family to get us started, but they will go fast once students have had 15 lessons. If you can make a donation of even one stuffed animal it is very welcome! Have it brought to the band room anytime.

*Mini-Schedules
Mini-schedules are single piece of paper that has 4 duplicate schedules printed on it with your child's band schedule on it. Students are to cut out the schedules and have the individual "Mini-Schedules" taped to a school folder/binder, band folder, home location, and school desk. Afixing thier schedules to these places can count as practice time for however long it takes. Thanks for checking with them on this-- it seems the students who have been late to class, forgotten to attend class, or forgotten their instrument have one thing in common-- mini-schedules have not yet been utilized. If you student mis-placed their mini schedules or was absent-- please let me know and I will get them a copy.
